Mad Microblading

Pre-Appointment

Please read the ‘Contraindications’ page before making a booking, to know if you are a suitable candidate to have cosmetic tattooing.

Ensure you have clean, exfoliated, make-up free skin when you attend your appointment. Do not shave, wax or tint the area, or use a sunbed in the week leading up to your appointment. Skin needs to be free from irritation and the barrier intact and not broken.

No Alcohol up to 48 hours before, Caffeine or Aspirin on the day of the appointment! This compromises your blood and muscle movement, which can lead to poor results.

Please drink 2L of water daily (this should be always, but especially the week leading up to your appointment) ensuring the skin is hydrated and smooth for best results and maximum retention of the pigment.

Avoid using harsh chemical products on the skin for 7 days before your appointment, this includes Retinol, Tretinoin, Niacinamide, Azelaic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Salicyclic Acid, BHA, AHA. These chemicals can make the skin barrier extremely fragile and compromise results.

How To Book

Please click the ‘Contact’ button in the top right-hand corner of the website, Cienna will then contact you to discuss a suitable date and time available for your new appointment!

Please be prepared to pay a £50 deposit to secure your booking, once the booking is completed, Cienna will confirm the full home clinic address, and help prepare you for your appointment.

Please use the ‘Contact Form’ to begin speaking with Cienna if you have any questions, or need to send images of your current tattooed brows, as not all old tattoos can be covered, so Cienna will need to see and determine if you are a suitable candidate for a cover up first, before taking any deposits.

Consultation

Cienna will discuss the treatments in depth, your concerns and the desired results you are after, answering all of your questions and getting to know a bit more about you, your health and lifestyle to ensure the best treatment plan for you.

A patch test will be done on your skin to ensure you are not allergic to the pigment, although no PPD (paraphenylenediamine), or nasty ingredients are in the products she uses. All products used are safe, of the highest quality, free of heavy metals and additives, and are compliant with the EU regulations.

All MSDS documents (Material Safety Data Sheets) for the Phibrows formulas used are available to read should you need to.

Treatment

All treatments begin with a thorough clean of the area, followed by the shaping, measuring and pencil drawing of your new brow shape. Here you can see them in the mirror as many times as you need, where Cienna can adjust the shape until you are 100% happy.

Cienna will show you all of the equipment and guide you through the treatment as she goes, so you are never unsure of what is going on or what products are being used. The appointments from start to finish are anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours, usually averaging 2 hours.

Aftercare

Although the aftercare will be discussed with you in depth, an aftercare package will be given to every client with instructions on how to care for the area that has been treated. A gel or cream will be provided also to help the healing process.

Every client is welcome to message Cienna with any questions while the area is healing, as the results change a lot over the course of a few weeks, it is perfectly normal to sometimes be unsure or need reassurance.

Top-up (2nd) Appointment

Your cosmetic tattoo will always need two appointments to be completed. Every skin is different and will react differently during the healing process, lots of other factors could also affect how well the skin retains the pigment.

For many reasons which will be discussed in the consultation, if parts of the brows or lips have healed differently in some areas, the 2nd appointment is needed to ‘perfect’ your results and ensure the results LAST.
